3 More Civil War Blocks!

I finally got a chance to work on my Civil War Diary Quilt last night and a little bit today. I finished 3 blocks! So that makes 29 down and 92 more to go!!! I know I still have a long way to go, but I will get it finished someday!

Here is the block called...Alvin McClure

Draft Threat
Splendid Victory
I paper pieced them all, actually I have paper pieced all 29 of them so far. I seem to be able to work better with the tiny pieces doing paper piecing. Hopefully, tonight I can get at least one more block to make an even 30.

Richard did not work today, he took the day off to get some things done. Actually, I think he was just tired when I tried to get him up at midnight and didn't want to go to work. I guess everyone deserves a day off now and then. He usually works 16-18 hours a day so I know he has to be tired. He worked some on the house today and got up all of the rafters on the backside. I will post a photo of it later.

I have a friend at my quilt guild that has started a blog. Her name is Brenda and if you get a chance check her blog out. She is a very nice lady and makes some very beautiful quilts. She also does machine quilting for others and does a wonderful job. I'm sure she would enjoy you all stopping by.

I'm off to clean up the kitchen and hopefully do a little more sewing.

You inspire me with your paper pieceing...I am going to have to try it sometime.

The blocks (as always) look wonderful.

I have checked out Brenda's blog...and I think it will be an interesting one to read from time to time.

A little bit more done on the house. It is slowly coming around...but it will get there in time.

I love the blocks. The middle one is gorgeous.

Everyone needs a day off. It's good that Richard realises that. It'll do him the world of good.

I've been showing the photos of your house to my builder friend and he is so jealous. He loves it.

love and hugs xxx
