Cutting it close...

First off, I want to thank everyone for their prayers and kind words for my momma. I'm very worried about her and she is very stressed and in a lot of pain right now. I'm also wondering how much use she will have in the arm even if she has surgery again. But right now, she has no use at all, she can't even move it. So please keep praying...

I've been quilting most of the day today! I am sooooo tired and my right hip is killing me but I'm sure I will live over it! :) I quilted this quilt today, my sister is buying it for a gift for her boyfriend's parents. The pattern is called "Four Patch Flip" a very simple pattern and I enjoyed piecing it. I pieced it a year or so ago, but just quilted it today. It is the one that she picked out from my pile of quilt tops. Tomorrow I hope to get the binding done!

Tomorrow I also hope to get another quilt top pinned on and started! It is a HUGE quilt for my mom. I posted about it here! I tried to quilt it last month and the backing was too small after I got it pinned on. Not sure if I can get Mom's quilted before Christmas, it is 120" long!!! If I'm able to get it quilted there is noway that I can get the binding done. So what I will probably do is, if I get it quilted then I will go ahead, wrap it up and give it to her, then take it back home and do the binding. I'm sure one that size will take me a few days to bind.

I feel very Blessed to have sold some of my quilts this month, just in time for Christmas money!! As of right now, I have sold 13 quilts! Some were already quilted, some were tops that I had to quilt, and a couple I had to piece and quilt them. So I have been very busy but also very thankful. And on top of these quilts that were bought, I have 5 that will be given away for gifts at Christmas! Hopefully after Christmas I can dig up photos of them all and put them in a post!

Well, I'm off......got to cut and press some binding for this quilt. I would like to machine sew it on tonight and do the hand work tomorrow.

PS.....I promise to get caught up on blogs after Christmas!!!!

Pray for my Momma...

No photos for this post. So much going on here this close to Christmas. Trying to get the sewing done, gifts bought and settle down for the Holidays.

I took Mom back to the doctor today for her checkup. She has been hurting really bad since her last appointment the pain has just been getting worse, not better. The doctor told her last time that she still could not move her arm at all for a few more weeks. So today when she went, it was bad news! He told her he thought that it was all torn loose again!!! Let's just say she is very upset and left the office crying! I felt so sorry for her, I just didn't know what to say.

Her arm will not move at all so it wasn't anything that she did, he just said that it was so bad once he got in there and he had to do so much work and it was hard to get it to attach to anything.

He gave her a shot in the shoulder and told her that it would last for a couple of days and that they would know for sure about Wednesday, because the shot would wear off by then and if the pain was still there then it was torn loose and was not just scar tissue! She asked about a MRI but he said it would not show if it was torn loose it would just show that it had an injury. So all we can do now is wait. If she is hurting Wednesday when that shot wears off then it has to be redone and she goes back to the doctor on Monday. I know she will not be able to really enjoy Christmas because of this being on her mind.

Just remember her in your prayers. She is my Momma and means the world to me, when she hurts, I hurt!

Working late

It's 3:30am and I can't sleep! :( We went to bed about 10:30pm and I woke up at 1am, got up and did a little sewing! Remember the pot holders that I pieced yesterday? Well, I quilted 7 of them tonight and ran out of the heat batting stuff (too tired to remember the name of it) so I guess I will pick up enough to finish the others if we can get out on Saturday. We have a lot of snow up here on this hill! Anyway, I thought I made 10 but somehow I ended up with 12, but that is okay, I can keep a set for myself. Now, I just need to finish the other 5, bind them all and those gifts will be finished. I still need to make the rice bags and maybe some coasters and the small things will be done. Yesterday I finished the binding on that lap quilt that I quilted and it is ready for it's owner to pick up. Now I have one more lap quilt, mom's HUGE quilt, and a quilt that my sister is buying as a gift for who we hope will be her future in-laws! :) Anyway those 3 still need to be quilted and the bindings done! :( But I can do it.....or at least, I think I can!

We got several inches of snow and ice yesterday. Richard and Hunter were out trying to build a snowman, it was hard to do because the snow was frozen so hard.

I let Jazz out to use the potty and he wasn't even heavy enough to break through the snow! He was sliding all over the place out there on that frozen snow.Then he came back in and passed out on the couch with Festus! Most of the time Festus would rather stay outside than inside but it has been so cold the past couple of weeks that he has spent a lot of time inside.

When I woke up at 1am Hunter was awake, in his room playing with legos!!! He said he couldn't sleep either. Here it is 3:43 and he is still awake! So I guess I had better try to get him to bed and get in bed myself!
