Don't forget like I did.....FRIDAY NIGHT SEW-IN, is tonight!!!! If you haven't already sign up here! Tonight I think I will try to finish the binding on Mom's quilt. She hasn't said anything but I'm sure she would like for me to get it done so that she can have it.

Sewing right along...

I got to sew off and on all day Friday!!!! I loaded another Christmas gift quilt on the frame yesterday but did not start quilting on it yet. But it is ready to go. I can't show a photo of it until after Christmas!

During the Friday night sew-in, I worked on handsewing some binding down. I have several that need to be done by Christmas so I've got to get them done. I changed the photo to black and white, I didn't want to take a chance on someone figuring out what there gift was...

Between some Christmas sewing yesterday, I started working on Bonnie's mystery! I had picked out some fabrics for it and even cut some of it out but with all of this other that I have been trying to get done, I had not had time to sew on the mystery quilt at all. So between some of this other stuff I thought it would be the perfect time to sew the string blocks that the mystery quilt requires. So I sat my box of scraps by my machine with the papers and I would sew a block every little bit to give me a break with working with the others....I need 60 of these blocks but I only have 5 done, at least it is a start.
It was a good oppournity to use up some of my older fabrics, look at this one from 1998, I'm sure there are some in there that are older.

Check out this photo of Donkey that Richard took last night!!! Crazy cat! He lays up there waiting for someone to come down the hallway and then he swats them or jumps on them!!! I think he is awake in this photo but he usually sleeps like that!!!

Got to get back to sewing!!!! And get ready for some snow!!!!!!

Getting things ready...

The Friday Night Sew-in is tomorrow!!!!! I'm sooooo ready! I have sewn more this past month than I have sewn this whole year!!! Hopefully 2011 will be a better year for me, there are so many quilts that I would like to get done.

At this point, I'm really not sure what I will be working on tomorrow night for the sew-in, it all depends on what I get done during the day. I still have alot of quilting to get done before Christmas.

Today I quilted a small lap quilt, but I can't show it until after Christmas. I still need to get the binding on it. I also have 2 more lap quilts to finish before Christmas and one king size quilt. Two of them are pieced, just need quilted and the other one is would only take about 30 minutes to finish the top. So as you can see I have plenty of sewing to get done for the Sew-in.

Now I will leave you with a photo of Smokey and Jazz! They just got a bath and they were cold.

They are my sweet little babies! Jazz is hyper and will not sit still and Smokey just wants to be loved on and will stay in your lap all day if you pet him.

Friday Night Sew-In

This has been a busy week for us, just lots of family stuff! Here is what I worked on during the Friday Night Sew-In, this week!!! It is a customer quilt, I am just doing a simple stipple on it.
In the photo the thread looks white but it is actually gray to match the quilt.

It is now finished, just need to take it off of the frame now! I will probably do that in a few minutes.

Hunter is a little bit sick, just a deep cough. Picked both boys up early from school yesterday. Took Hunter by the doctor for some medicine to help with the cough. Had to take Andrew to fill out papers for his PASSPORT! I am getting soooooooooo nervous about his trip but he wants to go so bad. Thank God, that they extended the payment deadline for the group! Anyway, now all is paid for and they will be leaving the 19th of March for.....Italy, France, Switzerland and they will have a layover in Germany!!! I will have 9 days of PANIC!!!!

Friday Night Sew-In

On my "Friday Night Sew-In" this is what I did! I worked on quilting this quilt for a customer!! It is beautiful!! I had planned on working on my string diamonds too but I was just too close to having this one finished. Long story short....I finished this on early this morning!!! Now it will be shipped back to the customer on Monday! I will post a photo of the completed quilt after it gets back to its owner!
This quilt is huge! It is COMPLETELY HAND PIECED!!! Amazing! She did an amazing job on it and it lays so flat! That is what I love!!

Today we had Christmas at my mom's house! She was gone during Christmas so we had to wait until she got back home. We were going to do it last weekend but my brother could not get out here because of the weather! We had a wonderful time today!!! I will post photos of that in the next post, I still have to load them on the computer!

Friday Night Sew-In

As I was reading blogs this morning I ran on a little fun! I joined Heidi's Friday Night Sew-In!! Click the link to read more about it. Starts on Januray 15, 2010. All you have to do is settle in on Friday night and sew or do some other craft. Post about it on Saturday and then your name will go into a drawing for some goodies on Sunday!!!! Very simple and sounds like a lot of fun!
