This And That!

My baby just lost his first tooth!!!! He is sooooo proud! He is 6yrs old and now wants them all to fall out so he can get $$$ from the tooth fairy! He is saving up money for a new Nintendo DS game! We are trying to teach him the value of money, he now has $5 and the game cost $20 that he wants!

Here is a top that I made several months ago and today I added the border on it! Now it is ready to quilt! Or should I say "put in my pile to quilt"
I finally got my blocks sewn together for my Stepping Stones! These are really big blocks! Now I just need to add the border to this one! Hopefully I can get that finished within the next day or so.
Here is a cute little photo of Smokey! Doesn't he looks so cute? He is finally making himself at home!

He and Donkey are starting to get a little closer. I think this is the closest that they have ever been. They both sleep all day long!

I'm hoping to get more major sewing done within the next few days or at least that is my plan. But nothing ever goes as planned does it?
Richard is home again today! I know that times are hard and money is tight for alot of people right now. One of the mines shut down that Richard hauls to and he has only worked 1 1/2 days out of the past 10!!!! That hurts!! But they just called to say that they had another mine opening up so he goes back to work tomorrow! Not sure how the rest of the week will go. Right now I'm just trying not to think about it very much. It just makes me worry! :( Hopefully things will pick up again soon.

I remember how exciting it was to loose a tooth and wait for the tooth fairy to visit! It's been fun catching up on your blog!

Gret job on all the quilts...

So sorry to hear that Richard only got to work 1 1/2 days. Let's hope with the new mine opening he will be able to drive more days.

Keep praying and believing in God's promises, and TRUST in HIM.

Your quilt tops look wonderful.

This is Hunter's first tooth missing? WOW! Don't let him near the tools, or you'll really be broke! Hee hee!

Congratulations to Hunter! My daughter can't wait to lose a tooth. She has 4 year old preschool friends who have already lost teeth but she doesn't even have a wiggly tooth yet.
I have to ask how many quilt tops are in the to be quilted pile? You make gorgeous quilts and are going to have so much fun going through them deciding how to quilt them when you get your quilting machine! I can't wait to see!
I hope all works out with Richard's job! It's tough times for everyone but you have a wonderful loving family which is a gift. Everything else will fall into place. I'm sending positive thoughts your way!

Hunter looks so excited. I guess he must really want the game. That is good to teach the value of money. You sure are getting some tops finished. I'm accomplishing nothing right now. I've been sleeping a lot with this sinus infection, like Donkey and Smokey. Hope Richard gets to haul lot of coal.

Alex lost her third (top) tooth two days ago as well, She got 4.00$ (well it was Christmas)!! Luckily Santa also gave the girls a tooth fairy pillow each so wasnt that handy (good old Santa!)I really love that first quilt Is it scrap WIndmills?? Anyway I really love it. I may have to add that pattern to my scrap quilts of 2009 list.
Im looking forward to getting onto that particular effort again. Just need to finish off the Christmas quilting projects(!) and put away Christmas things.

I love the toothless smile of Hunter. It's fun to see the two fur kids getting along. Here's hoping for all of us the New Year brings much better times. For now all we can do is hang in there together.
