Hexagon Progress

Well I guess it is time to post again.  LOL!  This has been a crazy December!  As I mentioned in my last post that I ended up getting sick and was down for a while.  Mostly moved from the couch to the bed.  While I was down I worked on my hexagons a little.  Didn't feel like doing much else.  I worked on the hexagons and did lots of reading...while I was awake. :)

Here is my hexagon progress.  I think there are 25 of these so far
My plan is to make a hexagon quilt for my couch.  My living room is browns and creams so that is what I started with.  My couch pillows have some deep red in them so I may throw some deep red hexagons in there too.  This is a long term project.
After I started feeling better I had so much to catch up on.  I had a quilt that needed to be quilted before Christmas and it was a big one!  It measured 106 x 120.  I got that finished in two days, not too bad since I was still weak from being sick.  I was in such a hurry I didn't even take a photo of it but it was a purple and green lone star with tulip borders.  Very pretty.

Now that Christmas has past, I'm still trying to get things caught up. My house is still a wreck so that needs to be taken care of before I get started sewing again.  I'm anxious to get back to sewing again.  Mom bought me a new tv for my sewing room so I'm anxious to use it.  :)  I had a little 13 inch tv in there and it worked just fine but mom bought me a 32 inch.  Much nicer than the tiny one that I had.  :)

Hunter has a friend over tonight so they are playing video games.  Richard is watching tv in the living room and I decided that I was going to come upstairs and clean my sewing room....but you see what I am doing.  LOL!  It it horrid!

Just a few days away from New Years.  We will be spending it at Church at the watch service.  Praying out the old year and praying in the new.

Hopefully I'll have something else to post about in a few days.  Just please hang in there with me until I get my crazy life straightened out.  LOL!

Good to hear from you again, Kristie. Glad you are finally getting some energy and health back.
I think some deep red would look stunning with your brown hexies!

I love the colors of your hexies. Will you be making a garden path around them or just sewing them together? If you have a garden path, you could make that your deep red.

No worries Kristie! I was sick the month of November and it really drains you. Hope you are feeling back to normal soon..... don't worry about the mess - It won't be going anywhere if you just sneak in a little sewing here and there. Dust, sew, vacuum, sew.... that's how I do things! Love your Hexies..... that might be a 2014 project for me.

I am so glad you are on the mend, it is no fun being sick and especially during the holidays.
