Don't you just hate it when....

Don't you just hate when this happens?? Last night, I had all of my pieces cut and I was trying my best to finish all 20 blocks! It was late when I did finish and I was soooooo excited! Then I started laying them out and I only had 19!!! Can you believe that 19? I was soooooooo mad! I had already put everything away and just wanted to finish my blocks! I was on such a roll with this quilt to and today I have just been so argivated that I haven't even picked it up! Maybe I will finish my last block tomorrow!

here is a photo of Andrew's other Beagle. I know he looks a little bit odd but Andrew wanted him because he was the only one in the litter that really stuck out! As you can see, he has one Blue eye and one Brown eye! He named him Scary Perry! :)
His other little Beagle got ran over the other day! :( My baby was sooooo sad! Richard was trying to move his truck to see if he could get it out with all of this ice and Pickles, the beagle ran right under his back tire! Andrew was so upset and it broke my heart to see him like that.
Hopefully, I will have more quilty photos to show you tomorrow!

I LOVE those blocks, Kristie! I know how you feel. Sometimes it's just hard to get motivated after a disappointment.

Sorry to hear about Andrew's beagle. That is so sad.
Take care!

Makes you think you are losing your mind...you know you can count to 20 and some how you wind up with 19...especially after everything is put away and you have broken your rhythm of the piecing.

Too bad about the dog...I amsure both Richard and Andrew were terribly upset.

Have a fun week!

Yes, I know the feeling, Kristie. That has happened to me before, more than one time. The worst part is you think you got 20 and you make another one and somehow while sewing them together you find the other one stuck to one of the 19. That is sad about the beagle. I am sure Richard hated it so bad, but things like that happen sometime. I am sure Scary Perry will be running rabbits before you know it. We missed you at the Quilt Guild. I wasn't going to go but Alma and Veronica called me. I ventured out. It was cooold!

Kristie, I am so sorry about Andrew's little beagle. I know how sad he was and how bad Richard feels. My dh ran over our old, old Lhasa Apso over 4 years ago and is still haunted about it.
Love your blocks. I have done this, made another, only to find the 'lost' one that had slid behind a stack of fabric. Scarey Perry will make a great pet. Winona

What an awful accident. I think Scary Perry looks cute though rather than scary.

Sorry to hear about your beagle, but little Scary Perry is gorgeous. We have had two brown snakes near our house lately so I worry for my dogs and my kids, they are so venomous and we are so far from town... We are having floods here, liquid ice I guess. ggg We are ok here though.
Cheers

Scary Perry is cute, that one blue eye is bright! Glad Andrew has something to keep his mind off of things.
Your quilt blocks are very pretty and will make a gorgeous quilt! Hope you find that hiding block (or dig out your stash for a new one)! Can't wait to see it finished!

Kristie,
Glad you are ok and have power and heat. I've been wondering if you got hit with the power outages in your area. So sorry about Andrew's dog...I know they both must feel terrible. Very cute puppy though, and love the two color eyes (must be because I have a brown freckle in my blue eyes!). Beautiful quilts! I love how your scrappy ones always turn out so darn pretty! You are one talented lady.
Stay warm and enjoy the family time.

Oh! That it soooo sad :( Scary perry is a very unique looking dog. I'm sure he won't replace the other one but will hopefully bring lot's of joy :)
Yeah, what's up with that?!?!?!? It seems to happen more often than not, something comes up missing or short!

You know that always seems to happen to me too.. The last time I mis counted blocks (or thought I had) I cut fabric to make more and when I went to bed realised that I had carried them upstairs.. so I ended up with extra!!

Sorry to hear about Andrew's puppy.. little ones seem to always want to be in the middle of what your doing.

Perry is adorable.
