Not sure if anyone is still reading my blog but if you are.....I'M BACK!!! It's been almost 4 months since I have posted so I will just do a quick update with what has been going on.
I've been dealing with a few health issues and spent a little time in the hospital and lots of doctor appointments...it's all heart and diabetes related...mostly. I also have a mass in my abdomen right under my left rib cage. Lots of testing on that and still don't know what it is yet. Enough of that....
Hunter had his 8th grade Social Dance/Prom.
He graduated last Friday from the 8th grade. I love that both of my boys grew up in such a small school. There were 19 kids graduating from the 8th grade with Hunter. This Fall he is off to high school. :(
Andrew is doing well. He works all of the time...60-70 hours a week. I'm proud of both of my boys.
An updated photo of me and Richard. He had just gotten home from work.
In other news....the garden is planted. We've had rain the past 22 out of 26 days. :( I'm hoping that my potatoes don't just rot in the ground.
I have been sewing a little bit...just working on my hexies. Nothing major on that. I have been doing "one block a day"
Now I have some awesome and exciting news!!!! I have a dear online quilting friend from South Dakota that is coming for a visit in a couple of weeks. I am so excited to meet her and her family. I will have to post lots of pics from our visit. It's almost a 20 hour drive for them. I think she is bringing some of her quilts too. So there will be lots of quilty talk and sharing going on. Over the next 2 weeks I will be trying to "whirlwind" and clean my house before they get here. I am just giddy with excitement.
Also I will be getting a "new to me" longarm!!!! My other one has died. LOL! It's been over a year since I have been able to quilt anything. I'm sitting here now with around 35 of my own quilt tops that need to be quilted. So expect to see lots of pics from that. This one is also a lot bigger than my other one. My old one is a 13" Bailey and this one is a 30" Nolting...big difference.
That's all for now...I'm going to try to start posting again regularly. Blessings...Kristie

Praying that you get answers on that mass.
What fun to be able to meet a blogging friend in real life.
My goodness I decided to look today and see who was still blogging and was happy to see that you still were. I am going to try to get back into it but with the boys now almost 3 and 4 its rough. They seem to be underfoot too. I got a new long arm as well so I hope to be doing a lot of stitching!
I am so sorry to hear about your health issues. I will keep you in my prayers and hope that the mass is nothing concerning. Please keep us updated.
My, Hunter has grown up into a handsome young man. And now he is taller than Andrew? I remember when mt youngest son overtook his older brother in height. For a while the older brother wouldn't stand near the younger one. : )
A handsome photo of you and Richard. I was thinking you should use it as your new profile photo and I looked over and saw that you already are.
How fun to be meeting a blogger. It has always been a good thing, in my experience.
So good to have you back. I keep you in my prayers always, Kristie and just this weekend I was thinking I should check up on you and see how you were doing.
How awesome to meet a blogging friend. I just met Colleen last week in Omaha and it was so much fun! It's like we'd be friends forever. We've been blogging friends for 10 years.
I've been wondering where you've been! So good to see you posting again.
I've missed reading your posts! I can't wait to read about your longarm adventures.
Welcome back, Kristie. Congrats to Hunter! Nice job. Have fun with your quilty friend. I'll be thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers. Hope you get some answers and get better!
Just last night I looked for a post from you, and here it is today! Hope your health issues are corrected soon. I've had the pleasure of meeting three of my "bloggin' buddies", and it is a wonderful experience. I'm sure you will agree after your company arrives. Enjoy your time together! ---"Love"
Glad to see you back! Hope you are getting your health issues under control. Hunter is really growing up fast. Can't wait to read about meeting your friend and getting the new long arm! That 17" will make a big difference!
Take Care!
Glad you are back. I missed you. You are lucky that Hunter's graduating was so small. We just attended our granddaughter's graduation of 450 in Florida. Sitting outside on bleachers in the nearly 90 degree heat with the humidity nearly as high was brutal.
I hope your health issues are solved soon and that you can enjoy that new long arm. YEY!

Hope you get some word on the health issues soon. Very stressful waiting for answers. So glad you are on FB and I can see what you are up to on there =) Your boys are so handsome!
Hey - Did you ever make something with the Honeycombs - the quilt as you go hexies? I think I got the name right. You are so creative I love seeing what you are working on.
Lovely to see you back. I've been wondering how you were.
I'm sending lots of positive thoughts and prayers for your health issues ((hugs)).
Welcome back! Praying that your health is improving and that you are feeling better. Enjoy your visit with your friend and your new quilting machine!
