Yesterday I posted full pics of this hand pieced customer quilt.
Now this big baby completely finished and it's ready to deliver!!! Yesterday I cut, pieced, and hand sewed the binding! This quilt measures something like 104x104 so that's 416 inches which also equals over 11 yards of hand sewn binding!!! Usually I divide a big binding job like this over 2 days but this time I did it ALL in ONE DAY!!! Yep...my hand is feeling it but I so enjoy it. The binding is the same purple flannel as the back.
Today I will try to catch up on the housework. :)

There is no way on earth that I could have hand bound that large quilt in one day--even if I stayed at it for 24 hours!

Oh my...I don't mind sewing down the binding, but I am slooooow! Good for you for finishing it in a day!
