March's Block is started

Today I got my March Baltimore Blues block together. I have it ironed down but I haven't started the applique. I still need to finish the applique for the February block. I am very slow at this applique stuff, but I know my limits and if I want it to look neat then I need to go slow.

Richard worked on the house a little bit today, it was so nice outside, almost 70 degrees!!! I didn't take a photo to show the progress because it is hard to see. He got all of the floor joists down on the second story. Since I am afraid of heights, there is no photo of it. I told him I will not get up there until there are walls on that second story!!! I am a big chicken!!! He makes me so nervous when he is up there walking around.

After he finished with that we made the trip in to town to visit with his grandmother. We had a nice time with her and she so enjoys seeing the boys. She spoils them rotten! We hadn't been in there for about 2 weeks so she scolded us over that. :)

After dinner, Richard went on to bed and the boys and I headed out to moms. Had a great time out there! I took my applique block with me to show her and she really liked it. Other than that we just sat around playing with their new puppy. They still haven't named her yet. Here is another photo of her, she looks like she is showing-off, with her little leg held up!

Mom has to watch my nephew in the morning and I have to take Donkey to the vet. I will also be taking the new puppy for a check-up! Mom will be busy with the baby and Chantal has to work, but that is okay, I don't mind spending time with the little cute thing. Donkey needs to got the the vet, I noticed today when I cleaned his litter box that he was passing blood. He was wormed when he had his neutering done at the vet and his food has not changed so I think I will take him to see what is wrong. He acts fine, still running around playing and all but he shouldn't be passing blood. I told Richard, it would be my luck here I just got brave enough to touch a cat and now he may be bad sick!!! Hopefully I will find something out tomorrow!

Great job on your March block! I've fallen so far behind on my BOM I don't think I'll ever catch up.

Your applique is wonderful! I knew you and Donkey would be the best of friends! Hope he's ok. Maybe it's just a kitty thing. Keep us posted. Glad you're enjoying your time with your Mom, too.

Hi. having a big catch up, I was pleased to read you get behing as well.
Hope everything goes well with all the health, when you don't have kids you stress about your health, then when you have kids you don't worry about yourself, just them, it really is awful when it lingers.
Cute poodle! Tracey

I hope all went well with the vet, it is a challenge to take both a dog and a cat at the same time.

The puppy is SOOOO cute. You're going to have to have Richard take some pictures of the house. I gotta see! I can't wait till you get your new sewing room!!
