Yard Sale Goodies

Yesterday we went to the big yard sale! Over 40 miles of yard sales! This is the first year that they have had it two days so we could only go on the second day. Alot of the things were picked over by then, but we still had a wonderful time. Here are some of the things that I picked up. Some odds and ends for the house and a sewing box full of pin cushions and sewing kits. They are from different places around the world and the US.

After we tired out we stopped to eat and then headed on down to the flea market in Grayson that is were I buy my fabric from time to time. I didn't get very much this time, I was just too tired to look through it all. I did end up with 17 yards for $20!! Not a bad deal, but most of it I got for border fabric except for the dinasour fabric and I will use it for a quilt for Hunter or my nephew. All of them are 3 yard cuts except one is 5 yards.

I am still working on my new quilt. I only have 9 blocks completed, but a few more of them started. The blocks are very easy, I just dread sewing 110 hexagons together and these can't be whipped stitched like I would do on a grandmothers flower garden. :( I'll figure out something, I like this quilt too much not to finish it.

The boys start back to school on Tuesday. I really dread it! I so enjoy every minute that we get to spend together. Now, I will just have to wait for snow days when they don't have school!

Well, I'm off to wash supper dishes and then do some sewing!!!

It sounds like you had a great time, and your fabrics are yummy, especially the pink one!

Have fun tomorrow with your boys, then send them to bed early for their big day back to school. Wow, sure seems like school is starting early this year!

Sound like you had a great time. I love to go to yard sales and flea markets. Hope it wasn't as hot there as it is here, it's 110 with the heat index.

Love the pics of all your finds. We don't get sales like that over here. I think people like to hold on to everything.

Love and hugs gina xxx

Kristie,
I love you finds. I also feel your pain about the boys going back to school .I hated it when my 5 went to school. Now they are grown.
