Only 5 blocks!

Well, my sewing didn't go as planned! Lisa is already done with her quilt top and I only have 5 blocks done. She may have to help me finish it when she comes for her visit in a few weeks! :) At least 5 blocks out of 30 is better than nothing. So now I will just set my goal to have the top done before she comes to visit! Here are the 5 blocks that I have done so far.

I have been talking with my friend, Michelle, about thread. She had lots of good tips for me! Anyway, my little gift from my mother came in the mail today. Mom insisted that I let her order some for me, so here is what we got... Signature Thread in black, cream, white, pink, navy and green.
We also ordered some Bottom Line threads in white and cream.
By the way, mom came home from her 28 days of working, Friday. She got a call today and she has to go back to work on the boat tomorrow morning. Not sure how long she will have to work but she is filling in for someone else. We had plans to cut out another quilt for her. She wanted to work on it while she was off this month and then maybe take it to work with her next month. I guess we will do that when she gets back.
Andrew may be 16 but he works hard and always saves his money. He is not wasteful with his money but only buys what he really wants. So he decided to buy him a small incubator to hatch out more chickens. But he is also going to let me use it to hatch out some quail, grouse and pheasant eggs! Now I will leave you with a photo of Donkey! He is enjoying his petting time!

Signature thread on the cone was a good choice. I like it very much for piecing and it lasts a long time. What kind of quilt is your mom wanting to make?

Once you get a day without running, you will have those blocks done in no time. If you don't get it done by the time I get there, I'd be happy to help!! The blocks are very pretty!
I can't wait to see the baby chicks, they should hatch about the time we get there!

Your blocks are pretty. I like the colors. With all that thread you will be ready when you get that machine. You have a good start. We had an incubator when Monica was small and we hatched out quail, grouse, turkeys, and chicks. That was fun!
