Sick Babies and Birthday Surprises!

Not a lot of sewing going on right now! Richard and Hunter are still very sick. They both have tested positive for the actual FLU virus. You can tell by this photo of Hunter that he is very sick. And yes, he sleeps with his eyes half open! :) Of course, I did not take a photo of Richard! :) So I have been very busy taking care of them. I'm sure before it is over Andrew and I will have it too.

Still no colt! She is spraying milk everywhere. She laid down last night and I was standing beside her and she sprayed milk all over my legs! Hopefully she will go soon!

Yesterday was my 37th birthday! Yep, I'm that old! :) Here is a photo of my cake! I tried to tell them that I did not need a cake but they would not listen.
My mom is working but she and my sister gave me a card with money in it! Chantal also brought me balloons! My sister's best friend, Crystal brought me these beautiful flowers!
I also got lots of goodies from my blogging friends! First off a while back my friend Lisa sent me some fabric for my birthday. I did not get a photo of it before I put it away but it was very nice fabric! Oh and Lisa and her family are coming down from PA in a couple of months to visit! How exciting is that???
I belong to a Yahoo group called "Quilting On A Budget" and we have a Secret Sister swap that we do 6 times a year. Here is my birthday gift from her. I don't know who she is but when I opened the box it had this card on top...
Inside the box was the following...a little birthday pillow, confetti, a bottle of bubbles, bodywash, and candy!!! That was such a wonderful idea! Thanks so much!
Also I recieved a package from my new blog friend in Texas! Her blog is JackyO! Our birthdays are the on the same day! She sent me a cute card and these wonderful quilt labels! I have neve had preprinted quilt labels like these!
Here is a close up of the western themed ones! They are so cute! Just my style!
I had such a wonderful birthday except for my babies being sick! :( Thanks to all my blogging friends for the birthday wishes!!!
Kristie
PS...I've had a couple of people ask about the Quilting On A Budget Yahoo Group. As of right now she has closed the group from new members. She said something about not wanting it to get too big. She also said that she may open it back up later, so if she does, I will be sure to post about it on here! Sorry!

Oh my...to be 37 again! Happy birthday! Sorry to hear you have sick ones to deal with, but it looks like your sister and friend helped out with that lovely cake, balloons, and flowers. They all have such pretty spring colors. Hope you stay well....and those sick ones feel better real soon.

So sorry that your family is sick! Hope that goes away without visiting you and Andrew.

I am sorry I missed sending you birthday wishes. Sounds like you had a wonderful day in spite of the sick ones. So, Happy Birthday to my friend, Kristie! Hope you have many, many more.

I would like the link for the group also.

Happy Belated Birthday Kristie!! Sounds like you really had a good day even with sick family! Poor Hunter and Richard! It looks like they are miserable. J sleeps with his eyes like that too! I always know when he is faking because he shuts his eyes all the way!

Happy birthday from one March baby to another (I'm 72 today...on the outside; on the inside, I'm still 37 like you). I checked out your friends blog and then subscribed to it. She talked about Painted Pony Quilts...I've been there. Great store!! Connie

Happy Birthday Kristie! As for your poor kids, bless their hearts. Maybe you should take some sort of cold meds to get a headstart for you and hubby...LOL
Take care.

Not a good way to spend your b.day with two of your favorite gus being sick. Here is hoping they recover fast.

You are such a loving person...reason for getting those wonderful things to celebrate getting older (and wiser?).

Happy Belated Birthday Kristie! Hope your boys (young and older) get better soon and that you and Andrew don't get the bug.

I like your Chinese Coins quilt - our guild is planning to make them this summer for our comfort quilts project.

Happy belated birthday Kristie, sorry you are sick. One of our big schools around here have 35% of their students out sick and it seems to go around some families more than once. Take care. Carline
