Butterscotch Pie Quilt Pattern

Both of my boys are sick today! Andrew has had this stomach virus for about 4 days and Hunter woke up in the wee hours of the night with vomiting and diarrhea. I had planned on doing some quilting on the frame today but I have been taking care of the boys. So in between cleaning up the messes I have been doing a little bit of piecing. This is for a quilt called "Butterscotch Pie" I got this pattern sometime last year or so. I love the pattern and this is my first block.

This is what it is supposed to look like when it is finished! But I did not have enough light scraps to use for the background fabric so I will be using all the same color for the background fabric.
He is my little sweetie, Smokey cuddling in some quilts that the boys had on the couch. He is such a sweet little dog. Well, I'm off to do some laundry.....

I like that pattern and the scrappiness of it. I think it will still look great if the background is all one color. I think it highlights the other colors!

Poor kids! What a time to be sick! Hope they get well soon and that you don't catch it!

Too bad about the boys getting sick. Hopefully it won't last too long.

The new block looks rather challenging...but I bet you can handle it.

Now, that's my kind of block...scrappy and lots of pieces! I've not seen that one before but I sure would like to make it. If your first block is any indication of what the finished quilt will be like, then it will be beautiful!

I love that block. I can't wait to see it all together. Those triangles scare me!

Oh....I like that pattern! And you are using what I'm going to call your signature style....the scrappy fabrics that look so pretty together.

Cute pattern. It's going to be stunning when you are done. I hope everyone is on the road to recovery soon!

That quilt is so YUMMY! I love it! Sorry to hear about your boys. In my experience, though, it is better to have them both feeling crummy at the same time than one well and full of energy and the other sickly and needing attention, so you have that at least. Hopefully they'll be feeling better soon!

The block looks great. It must take time to cut the pieces.
