More Quilty Things!

Breanna's 8th grade graduation went fine. Richard worked half a day and I met him so we could drive on up. Since it was only for 8th grade they didn't do anything fancy, it was more like an award's day. It is hard to see in the photo but here is Richard putting her diamond necklace on that we bought her. After that was done, Richard had an eye doctor appointment. He has to have glasses!!!! He teased me when I had to get them so I'm not letting up on him! It was funny when I was filling out his paperwork, it asked when was his last eye exam...I asked him and he said "1988!!! When he had is exam to enlist in the Marines!!!!" 20 yrs!!! No wonder he couldn't see!
Here is a photo of the boys! Andrew is holding one of his prized roosters! He and Richard are building him a chicken coop just for his! Mine will still run loose on the farm, but Andrew's are more expensive and need to be put up. He will be breeding and selling them and he will have several different breeds.
I have been working on sewing some of my scraps up. I have a tub of 2 1/2 inch squares now that I have all of my scraps cut up. So I have a plan on sewing 9 patches along to make another quilt that I saw on Quiltville. I think right now I have close to 50 of these blocks done.
Here is the latest top called, "Scrap Twist" from the Quiltville website. Very easy, but I still need to add borders. I think when I do, I will just tie this one.
I finally got the borders on my "Scrappy Trips Around The World" The borders are not solid blue as they look in the photo but a tone-on-tone fabric. Sorry the photo is so bad, Andrew was trying to hold it up and not doing a very good job of it. And down at the bottom you can see part of Chantal's dog!
This is the last week of school for the boys!!!! They are very excited! But this will also be a busy week for me running to each school for award's day.

My plan for the evening is to work on either a few Dear Jane blocks or my Civil War Diary quilt. I need to get back working on them, I think I now have 41 Civil War blocks so that means 80 more to go! I know I am in no big hurry to get these blocks done, but I would like to have my Civil War blocks done by the end of the year.

Today was our Guild meeting and I forgot about it! We were going to be working on our Mystery quilt so I will have to catch up next time. Silly me, I guess I just have a million things on my mind.

Hi Kristie!
Are you back online? We have missed you! Congratulations to Brianna on her graduation! I remember my 8th grade graduation...38 years ago, and I thought I was 'pretty big stuff'! Ha!

Your quilt tops look great!

I too have been on the hunt for a new computer. You'd almost think with how far technology has come that they wouldn't be such a PITA at times. Anymore, it seems electronics are built to be throw away after just a couple of years....UUURGH.

Love the diamond necklace. She is ONE LUCKY GIRL

We're all here waiting for your full-time arrival into the cyber world again.

Why does 1988 sound like just yesterday to me? And then when you say 20 years ago...I have to do the math.
New computer? Sister's computer? Are you back up and running? We all miss you!
