Off the frame...finally

What a week so far! UGH! First off, I finally got my client's T-shirt quilt off the frame! So that is a good thing! I have been working on the binding and repairing some skips on it today and it will be dropped off to her tomorrow. I have another quilt loaded on the frame but haven't started the quilting on it yet. We've had a very busy week here just trying to get into the groove of things. Richard started back for his Fall Semester on Monday and it has been hectic ever since. He is gone from the house something like 12 hours a day now, comes home, changes clothes, eats, and starts homework. They told him that he would have an average of 2-3 hours of homework/studying PER NIGHT! So I have been having to take up some of the slack here at home so that he can get this stuff done. I just keep telling myself that "he has LESS than a year and will graduate with a nursing degree" It is so hard right now but it will all payoff in the long run.

Hunter and Richard sit at the table each evening and do their homework together. This makes it much easier for us to get Hunter to get his finished too. Andrew starts college on Monday! That is really stressing me out! But I am very thankful that he is going to college to further his education. I think I should get some type of degree just for trying to keep up with these 3 and their homework! LOL!

Hopefully tomorrow I will have more quilty photos to show....if my day goes as planned! :)

ouch - all that studying going on at your house! Makes my brain hurt! Hope they all have stellar years - and you DO get a gold star for supporting them in all this!!!

Boy, I am sure you are relieved that the quilt is finished. Did you ever finish that antique quilt you were having a hard time with?

So glad you were finally able to complete that t-shirt quilt. That must be a relief!
I think your husband's example of homework each night will be a great role model for Hunter. Sounds like there won't be a whole lot of R&R time as a family in the evenings, though.
Yes, be grateful that Andrew is going on to college. But all of this change in a household is hard on the wife and mother! Good you have quilting to turn to. Hang in there, Kristie!

Glad you were able to finish up that quilt!
Richard and Hunter look so sweet! All that hard work will pay off.
Good Luck with Andrew going to college. It is very hard to let them go but I know that you are so proud that he is going. I will be thinking about you girl!

Yes, you should get a degree too. The day my husband got his EdD the wives were given PHT degrees: putting hubby through.

Skipping up to the courthouse steps blocks, paper piecing is a great idea, for me anyway, since I have trouble making a true 1/4" seam allowance. Yours is very pretty; one of my favorites.

How awesome that the boys are doing their homework together! And BIG PROPS to Richard for going back to school. The longer you are out, the harder it is and he is doing a great job by sticking with it. What an inspiration for Hunter!!

Good for Richard and you guys for hanging tough.

having been an older nursing student myself in the 90's, tell Richard that the second semester is better. a little less stress because you have learned all the critical thinking skills and you are able to reason out things. And it's so worth it.
