Design Wall Monday

I'm still plugging along on my Rocky Road to Kansas blocks.  Here is where I am at this point.  I know it looks like that blue really pops out but I think it is just the camera flash.  It doesn't look that bright just looking at it.  This is all of those blue scraps that I have and this is only half of the blocks so it will be spread out more evenly in the whole quilt.
I'm loving this quilt so far.  As I mentioned I am now halfway through with 15 blocks.  I am shooting for 30 so that I can do a 5x6 setting.  I need to see what kind of yardage that I have for the border.
Not sure how much sewing that I will get done on it today.  I have to get that quilt finished that I have on the frame.  :(

We've had a very busy weekend, I'll catch you up on that maybe tomorrow.  Right now I need to clean the house up real quick before I head up to the sweat shop and finish the machine quilting.

I'll leave you with a photo of Donkey.  He found a nice small box up in my sewing room and decided to cuddle up in it.
To see what others are working on, check out Judy's blog.

very pretty and the blue is a nice addition in the color pallate. I can't wait to see the border!

This just looks better and better. So I had to go find the block pattern for an after the first of the year project. I will probably change the name to "Dusty Road out of Kansas" as my family left there during the Dust Bowl. I, however, lived in KY for 4 years: beautiful state.

You know how I LOVE scrappy, string quilts! This is beautiful; your points match so well. The last scrappy log cabin quilt I made seemed to have more blues than anything else for some reason, but I liked it.

Your kitty makes me wish for one to keep me company. I have only barn cats. :(

That quilt just gets better and better--and I loved it from the start. Even if the blue does stand out, it gives it the sparkle effect! Just beautiful!

I love the blue in this quilt. It is looking so pretty I think it will be one of my favorites of yours. I just might have to do one of these next year.
Love Donkey in the box. We have an area that small in the walk in closet all surrounded by things and there always seems to be a cat tucked in there...... if the kids are awake. Otherwise they are out with me.

Your quilt is coming together nicely. I don't think the blue stands out too much. It helps keep your eyes looking around the whole quilt. Nice colors.
