I got this quilt off the frame last night! It feels so good to get a few of my own done. I am really pleased with how it turned out. Now I just have to do the binding.
I only have one regret with this quilt...I wish that I had made it bigger. :) It measures 68 x 84. When I was piecing the top, I got really tired of string piecing the blocks. Now I wish that I had kept with it and made it at least a QUEEN size.
Oh well, I'm still pleased with it.
Here is a look at the back, you can see the quilting better this way.
I have several more of my own with backings that I plan on quilting real soon but first I have a couple of tops to quilt that belong to some friends of mine. They are all HUGE. :( The first one is a log cabin quilt, I love the log cabin pattern. I'll post some photos of it once I get it loaded on the frame.
It has been sooooo cold the past several days. Hunter didn't have school again on Friday. We had some snow, sleet, and ice so the roads were too slick. I love having him home. Andrew's classes were also cancelled. Tonight we have a fire roaring in the wood stove and propane heat turned up...I've had a chill all day and I am just now warming up. Richard said that it was 78 degrees in here right now and he is sweating. :( Oh well, I just had a chill.
I guess that is all for tonight, I just finished up the binding on my Spiderweb quilt and now I need to get things ready for Church in the morning. Then after Church we are going to visit with Richard's grandmother for a bit and his mom is fixing dinner.
Blessings...

Looks great!!!
I understand you wishing it was bigger to go on your bed. It is so great! Love the rail fence in scraps. Nice quilting, too. : )
Hope it is nothing more than a chill, Kristie!!
Nice quilt! You can always make a larger one sometime in the future ;)
Very,very nice quilt!!!
Great looking quilt. You could always make another in a queen size.
Your quilt looks wonderful! :0)
Beautiful as always. Maybe it will fit on Hunters bed? sounds like you need to add that binding so you can be snuggling under it to keep warm.
Another beautiful finish! That has to make you feel good (even if you do wish it were bigger)!
