Got the quilting finished!

Well, I'm sorry about my post yesterday but as you could tell I was very stressed! It looks like my "problem" (let's just say....ex husband) will not be going away for awhile but "he" is not worth that much stressing over. "He" has dug his own hole and he can try to find his own way out! I'm just glad that I have my kids and a loving husband and that is all that I need to worry about. Anyway, I could not sleep last night because I had so much on my mind so I spent the night quilting on the "pepto quilt"

My sister and her co-workers read my blog at work so I'm sure she has already seen that I have been quilting this quilt. She knew last year that it was for her but this year it will be her Christmas gift! "Merry Christmas Chantal" Anyway, when I started this quilt it was just a way for me to use up all of my pinks. I'm not really a pink person unless it is Civil War pinks but for some odd reason I had a ton of it in my stash.

So now that it is quilting, I just need to get the binding pressed. I have it cut so now I need to press it and get it on there. When I took the photo for some reason it looks like there is a real light pink block in the lower center of the quilt. I had to get the quilt back out and look at it but when you are just looking at the quilt you can't even see it. But it really shows up in the photos.
Now that this big pink blob is quilted I have a few more smaller ones and then one more HUGE quilt. The green and pink/coral one that was too big for the backing that I had. It will be mom's gift for Christmas if I can get them all done.

Speaking of mom....I took her to the doctor today. He said she seemed to be doing pretty good. He also told her that she still could not move her arm for another 4 weeks!! That will drive her crazy! After her appointment we stopped by Walmart and TJ Maxx. This was the first time that she had been out since the surgery. She said her legs were a little shaky so we only went to the two stores. She did fine and I think it was good for her to get out. As soon as we got home, she fell asleep and just woke up a few minutes ago.

Tomorrow I think I will try to get the borders on my nephew's quilt. I picked up some yellow today and I already had some red. That should not take too long. It would be nice to get it loaded on the frame too! But we will have to wait and see how the day goes.

Way to go on the quilting!! I'm so glad that your mom is doing OK per the doctor. Hopefully, the pain has started to subside for her, too. And just maybe you gals can have a couple more excursions in the coming weeks! It will be great for her to get out and move around. Wear her out a little so she doesn't feel bad about not being able to move her arm still. :-D
