I really need to stay off of the computer!

Well, it's 1am and being on the computer this late always gets me in trouble... Now as most of you know I am working on the Civil War Diary Quilt. I have 25/121 blocks which isn't alot but it is a start. This is not a quilt that I expect to finish quickly. So I will be working on several other quilts at the same time. But stupid me starting looking at the Dear Jane!!!!! I just don't know what to do...do I order the book and cd or not?????? I really want to so bad but then again, I just don't really need another project like that. The book and cd is $65!!! hmmmmmm....maybe I should wait until I at least get the Diary quilt half way finished. I just don't know maybe I should just go to bed and think about it. What do you think, should I or shouldn't I??

I definitely think you should! It's so fun, only 2 blocks a week, they are so cute, and the tutorials are so wonderful. Go ahead!

I know exactly what you are saying..I purchased Civil War and Love Letter books, then went in and ordered both CD's I also put in the shopping cart the Dear Jane Book/Cd....I then removed it I can't do three quilts like this at once...but maybe I should order it just in case.....LOL

I'm more a mess when I have TOO MANY projects on the go.

I'd say wait... It may give you the umph you need to finish one project while eyeing the start of another.

Well, look at it this way. You can keep the book and CD for the future. It is what I am doing. I got it off E-Bay for $24 bucks. I will work on the Civil War one first and then work my way up to the Dear Jane someday! I just enjoyed reading and looking at the pictures and knowing that it is mine and I can start it anytime I want. Its all about my pattern addiction :o)

I don´t know if I am the right person to tell you what to do, I bought the book and the CD last summer!

Do it! Let me explain why, the cd is the best investment I ever purchased! Make sure you give yourself 3-5 years to completely the DJ and make it as a side project. You won't regret the decision, especially being all the fabric you are scrapping from doing the Civil War blocks will work perfectly in the DJ--each block takes soo minimal amount of fabric. I have a DJ blog if you are interested in my progress, but I'm very slow :)

And computers are just like quilt projects, need to set time to do each---equally :) LOL

I'd try to hold off till at least 1/2 the projects are finished and then reward yourself with it, give you motivation to get moving! Works for me!
