Scrappy Trips Around The World

Here I am again at Mom and Chantal's. I'm sure my sister is tired of me running her off of the computer! :) Still haven't had a chance to shop for a computer, we just have so many things going on for the next few weeks! Tomorrow we have my stepdaughter's 8th grade graduation at noon and then Richard has an eye doctor appointment. He has finally admitted that his eyes are not what they used to be. Next week I have several days of awards days at school, Hunter and Andrew both. But anyway, I will be back up and going soon on a daily basis.

I forgot to show these photos of some quilt books that I bought a few weeks ago. Mom and I went up to the bookstore and I purchased these three books for $3 each!!! They are new but have been out for a few years, but that is fine with me. They have several more that I will probably pick up next time.

Here is a photo of my Scrappy Trips Around The World from the Quiltville website. I had Chantal to hold it up for me so I could take a photo of it. I still need to add the borders to it. I have them cut and ready to sew on, I also have the binding cut too. The borders and binding are from one of the blue fabrics. I will have that done this weekend. And hopefully, I can work on my Civil War Diary quilt some more.

Hunter had his field trip yesterday to the Eastern Kentucky Science Center. He had a wonderful time. Sorry no photos but there were so many kids running around it was hard to keep up with them. As soon as we arrived back home I hit the couch and napped for a couple of hours. I still can't get adjusted to this thyroid medication. Sometime, I just have to fight to stay awake through the day. I have to go back to the thyroid doctor in June so hopefully, they will adjust it then.

Andrew is finally finished with his heart monitor. Now I am just waiting for them to read all of the results and then go from there. I think he is happy to be rid of that thing. His chest has raw spots on it from those sticky things, which I'm sure will heal up in a few days.

I will try to post again in a day or two. Not sure how much sewing I will get done this weekend.

Great buy on the books...they may be old publications - but still new to you...plus some of the old quilt pattersn still make beautiful quilts.

Sounds like you have your hands full with all the coming and going with your family...perhaps when school is out things will slow down some.

The quilt is outstanding...as usual your excellent work is showing.

Hurry and get your new computer and get back to daily posting.

Hugs from Oklahoma - amelia
