1950 Singer Featherweight....letting her go....maybe...

So I recently acquired another Featherweight!!!  Don't you just love these little machines?  I've had her for a couple of weeks now and these photos are from when I was cleaning and oiling her up.  She is a 1950 Singer Featherweight with the serial # AJ927023.
She sews like a dream!  Very smooth and her decals are very nice too.  They are not as worn as the ones on my other Featherweight.
As much as I love her, I'm thinking that after I sew on her for a few weeks, I might just put her up for adoption!  Why?  Because I already have another one and I just can't see keeping two of them right now so I will probably sell her.
 Isn't she pretty?
Right now I have her on my dining table so I will probably sew on her a lot over the next few days.
I just couldn't wait to share photos of her with you all....  :)

She is a beauty! I have one that I keep on my mantle. I love looking at her.

I hope is that you keep her, if not I do have a b-day coming up, do you want to sell or barter?

This is the second one someone has shown off to me this week, I wonder if I am supposed to thinking seriously about adding to my list of favorites. I currently quilt on a 1938 singer and sew with a $75.00 brother form Walmart.

What a lovely machine. I've told DH it is uncanny to me how you and Bonnie and a few others just seem to attract these great vintage machines and I can't even find one.
Have a nice time bonding with her--whatever her name may be. But if you bond, you won't be able to let her go. : )

I have a 1934 Featherweight. I don't use it often. Since I am thinking of relocation away from Texas, I need to sell some of my "toys." Yours looks very nice. There's just something wonderful about the older vintage Singers that makes you love how great they sew. Enjoy your new machine. I think I'll put mine on the dining table and do some sewing since I saw yours. Thanks for inspiring me.

I have always wanted a Featherweight but wasn't sure if I could afford one. How much are you asking for it?

I learned to sew on my mother's featherweight. When she passed away five years ago my oldest sister got my moms featherweight. I keep looking for one, mostly for sentimental reasons. I would be interested in her if you decide to part with it. I always smile when I see the featherweights. They bring back happy memories.
