Another Great Mail Day!

A great mail day!!!! I recieved my Madder Storm At Sea wall hanging kit from Connecting Threads today! Here is a photo of it on the package! I can't wait to start it. This is the first kit that I have ever ordered so I'm a little afraid of messing it up and having to order more fabric! The pieces are small since it measures 34" and it is paper pieced.

I didn't get to go to the quilt show today, I'm hoping to go tomorrow. My aunt Deb was going to go with me and she called this morning to say that she was flooded in and couldn't get out. So hopefully tomorrow the water will be down some so that I can pick her up.

We have had a ton of rain the past couple of days and everything is flooded....except for me! I live on a big hill so we never get any flood waters. But as I was driving to town this morning I noticed that alot of the side roads were flooded and they even cancelled school for today. The boys were excited about that because they are off all next week too for Spring Break!!! Andrew will be spending most of next week working for my brother, John. John is building a new house too, but doesn't have anyone to help so John has hired Andrew for the week. I think they are both excited! John wants the extra help and Andrew wants the extra $$$.

How cool for Andrew. I'm glad Hunter had another day off to recouperate. Did I spell that right? LOL I tried paper piecing a while back and kept getting myself so confused. I ended up with a teapot coaster...heheheh

I saw that Storm at Sea kit in the catalog and thought that it looked pretty. I typically don't buy kits, either, but did buy the kit for the Beth Ferrier BOM. The fabrics are so bright and colorful and just perfect.
