Hubby says that I am going CRAZY!

Hubby says that I am going crazy!!!! Giggle! See, Hunter's birthday party is this weekend. We are having a cookout for family and friends even though we are having it outside I know people will be in and out of the house. Since I sew at the dining table everything stays a mess so I am putting everything away for the weekend!

That is why Hubby says I am going crazy! Hunter is having a friend staying over for the weekend so I don't want to drag everything back out until the first of the week. I am already going through withdrawls!!! My mind is running wild, just thinking about not having my machine and ALL of my quitling mess out to sew anytime that I want! So I have been trying to get some hand sewing projects ready so that I can sew while I am sitting around on the couch!

Now like I said this is only for the weekend and this is what I have ready...

* Yo-Y0's for Hunter's quilt

* Hexagon's that I started getting ready today

* Mom's quilt that I am handquilting

* A few Dear Jane blocks that are applique

* And just a few minutes ago, I started cutting out Cathedral Windows!!!

See, I am losing it!!! I keep thinking NO MACHINE, NO QUILTING!!!

Anyway, I have to laugh at myself for being so silly! I started cutting out these for my Cathedral Windows and found a great way to put them together thanks to Betsy. So this will be an all by hand project. I know this will take forever but it is one of those quilts that when it's done it's done, backing and all!!!

My plan is.....to use my Civil War scraps! I don't have a very big selection of the Civil War fabrics but I am just going to use some of the scraps. I only need 2 inch squares for the centers. So if anyone has any extra Civil War scraps that they don't want send them my way.....

I think I am with your DH *VBG* It is like you are preparing for a month without a machine on second thought I think you are doing the right thing you are so productive.

How long are you going to be machine less. It looks like you are planning for a siege.
I don't normally agree with a man but I'm with Richard on this one. LOL

Crazy like a FOX!!! I also like to have hand-sewing projects around for hanging out on the couch watching TV.

I know the feeling. I hate packing my machine away - makes me feel displaced! I have just had to do it for a few days and I have hated every minute of it :-((

Going to show my ignorance here but, what makes it a Civil War fabric? Is it made by a certain manufacture?

I do think you have enough to keep you busy, especially if you are going to have TWO little boys to keep track of! Have fun.
