Working on another UFO!

The boys are home again today! We got some ice last night so school was cancelled! They usually have several snow days that is why the school starts so early too! Anyway I really enjoy having the extra time with them. We have had a lazy day. They have played around, watched some tv, and cleaned their rooms. Well, they didn't clean very much! :(

I got some extra time to sew! I have been working on another UFO! This one is called "Stepping Stones" I had a couple of blocks done but now I am close to having them all finished. It has a total of 25 blocks and they measure 14 inches, so they are rather big. It has two different blocks, 13 of one and 12 of the other! I have all of the pieced blocks finished and 4 out of 12 of the snowball blocks. I hope to have them all done tonight so that tomorrow I can piece the top together and add the borders!

We are getting more sleet and ice right now, so the boys may not have school again tomorrow! Right now we are all spending a cozy night in front of the fireplace!

The color combination is something I really like...rather old fashioned look to me.

Be careful going in and out with this weather...don't want you slipping and hurting yourself.

Take care.

Those are really pretty fabrics!

I have never been in such cold. I am freezing to death here and it is 58 outside. LOL!

We got about 5 inches of snow today. I have a coworker staying overnight with us. She is also my cousin's wife. Thursday they are predicting 1/4" of ice. Yippee.

Your blocks look great. Have fun with the boys.

I sure like your blocks, and the fact that you were able to sew while your kids were home. Mine had a snow day too here in Washington, but I got next to nothing accomplished. Argh!
Tonight is also a hot-soup-sit-around-the-fire night at our house too.

How pretty, Krisite! You have such a good eye for color. That will be a great quilt. Enjoy your time with your boys. They grow up so quickly, I know.
