Sawtooth Stars!

I finally got another quilt on the frame today! All things went well, not even one thread break! I used the new thread that I got at the thrift store yesterday. I used a light blue for the top and the bobbin thread. The quilt has a blue sheet for backing.

This is a baby quilt that I made for my ex-husbands niece. Giggle, I get along great with his family, it's just him that I don't! hehehehe! Anyway, her baby is due in June and this is her first child.

I tried to take a photo of the quilting but again, it is so gloomy from the rain, I just can't get good lighting.

I used this pantograph called, "Chantilly Lace" I wanted to practice it on something small before I used it on a large quilt. Here's the thing....I made a PINK bargello quilt top a few months ago for my sister, but she doesn't know it is hers. Anyway, since her name is "Chantal" I thought the quilting design called "Chantilly Lace" would be perfect for her quilt. I'm not sure when I will quilt it, I'm not going to give it to her until her birthday in October or Christmas one.
I will work on the binding on this quilt tonight, I have it cut, just need to sew it on. Hopefully, I can get another quilt on the frame the first of the week! Now only 68 more to go! :)

That is a pretty pantograph. You are learning all kinds of designs. I am sure Chantel will love her quilt. I couldn't wait to give it to her if I had it finished.

That sure is pretty! So bright and cheery! Is that a panto you follow with the laser or a groovy board?

Way to go, girl! You're a natural at that! It must be such a great feeling to have your tops becoming quilts. The Sawtooth Star is one of my favorite blocks and your baby quilt is bright and fun.

If you keep going at this pace....all 70 quilts are going to be quilted and then you are going to have to get busy piecing again!

Happy Mother's Day!
