I finished cutting out all of the blocks for the Turkey Track quilt. I have them all packaged and in a shoebox. I do have 3 of the 42 blocks done, but I wanted to get it all cut out so that when the mood strikes me to work on it, it will be ready to sew.
After getting that all cut out, I baked a loaf of pumpkin bread! The house smelled soooooo good while it was baking. Needless to say, it is all gone now! :) Richard and the boys gobbled it down very quickly! :)
As you can see here, Donkey has had a hard day watching me cut out those pieces! :) Silly cat!
Then I did something silly....I started digging around in my scraps! :( I found a tote of Civil War scraps! These were tiny pieces that I just could not throw away. Don't have a clue why I was saving them, but idea hit me...I could start a Double Wedding Ring! I know, I know, I don't need to start anything else, but this will be a long term project. Actually, I thought I would put the small scraps in a little basket, set it by my chair and cut them out while watching tv or something. No rush on getting it done, I don't care if it takes me a few years, it is just a little something to keep my hands busy while sitting here.
Now it is almost 10pm, so I am off to bed. Hubby is getting up for work at 3:30am so that doesn't give me long to sleep!

Good for you in keeping busy. There's nothing worse than idle hands. LOL
Mind you I'm not sure how you fit it all in, do you have extra hours in your time zone. We just have the basic 24 hrs in a day over here
love and hugs Gina xxx
I have missed those great shots of donkey! I cant believ that he would ever scratch you! I dont think he has the energy!! I think a double wedding ring will be great! Are you using a pattern? If you are just doing those cuts by eyeballing..well..you are a super quilter!!
Donkey looks sad...why you ask....because those stinkin' boys ate all the pumpkin bread and didn't save him any....:)
I love the pics of Donkey. My cat is my favorite quilting accessory. No sewing room is complete without one.
That is such a great idea to cut all the fabrics needed and have them ready to go. If I did that I think I could get a lot more quilts done. I could just grab a bag and start sewing when the mood struck me. Thanks for inspiring me!
And that bread looks delicious!
You sure got a lot started to keep you busy. You can never say you are bored. Nasty word at my house. I love this quilting weather. Oh, I forgot you probably don't have heat for your quilting machine. I am sure you will find a way. Looks like Donkey is getting all the rest both of you need. Bread looked delicious.
Can't believe you cut all those turkey tracks out that fast...
Wedding Ring is for sure a quilt that is on my someday list...those are so cool...
Yummy looking pumpkin bread!
It is a great idea to make a double wedding ring out of your scraps.
