So many projects....

A few more pinwheels on the design wall.  Of course, I will not put them all up there since I need like 140+ of them.  Still many more to go.

I'm just sewing a few at a time between other projects.  Trimming and pressing as I go.  My ironing board seems to stay full of something that needs pressed.  LOL!

I've been working on more embroidered rope bowls.  I have a craft show coming up on October 8th but I also have orders coming in right and left.  Yesterday one lady ordered 9 bowls.

I know it looks like just a messy pile but it's all that I can do right now.  LOL!

I have been moving from machine to machine.  I pieced the bowls on my Janome since it has a nice zigzag stitch.  The blue painters tape marks how large that I need the bottom circle to be so that it fits in the embroidery hoop.

Then I move it to the embroidery machine.  While the embroidery machine is running and doing it's thing I am piecing pinwheels on my Juki TL2010Q.  Then after the base finishes embroidery, I then go back to the Janome and finish sewing the sides of the bowl.  So basically I am just jumping from machine to machine.

Oh and all the while I have this shirt memory quilt spread out on the floor waiting to be sewn together.

Oh and I also need to finish up a Denver Bronco rag quilt as soon as I clear some space to do that.  LOL!

On Monday, Everleigh, mom and I had lunch out.  Mom has to have a little procedure on Wednesday so she had to have a Covid test beforehand.  Everleigh enjoys getting out with us.  She gets a little car sick but she can't help that.  We just try to go slow and do the best we can with it.  She is doing some better with it.  She is such a good little girl and doesn't cry and fuss.  I believe her favorite food is pinto beans.  :)

So Hunter got a haircut today!  This was his hair a few months ago

Then he went to this, which I took this pic this morning before he got it cut.

This is the end result!  Either way he is handsome and will always be my baby boy.

And a pic of Hunter and Richard when Richard got home from work.

Oh and I will leave you with this adorable pic of my little nephew Tucker.  Chantal brought him up to play with Everleigh today.  They play so well together.  He is just the cutest little guy.

So I guess I need to close this post and get to work sewing...

Memory Quilts and Pinwheels...

Lots of quilting in the works!  I pieced a few more pinwheels for one of the customer quilts.  He wants it by Christmas so I'm just piecing a few here and there until I get a few of these other quilt orders done.  I'm also using the pieces for leaders and enders.

Just really running them through a few at a time and laying them on the ironing board and pressing them as I get a chance.  These are 8" blocks.
Saturday and Sunday I worked on cutting and prepping some shirts for a memory quilt.  I have a lady that wants 2 full size quilts made from her husband's shirts.  Each quilt will have 25 blocks and then a border.  I got all of the shirts cut apart and stabilizer on half of them.

I will embroider on one block of each quilt his name and dates.

A few posts back, I showed a couple of little blankies and a dino quilt that I did for my nephew, Tucker.  Chantal sent me a couple of pics of him with them.

Everleigh and I will be going to Ashland with mom and Monday.  She has to have a little procedure on Wednesday and has to have a Covid test before.  Hopefully after I get back I can start piecing on the memory quilt #1.  I have several projects due before Christmas.

Rag Quilts and Dinosaurs

I've had a pretty productive day!  YAY!  Saturday night I got all 48 blocks sewn for the Dallas Cowboy rag quilt that I am making for a customer.

Sunday afternoon I got it all sewn together!  Now I just need to clip the seams and get it washed.  I will probably clip the seams while watching Everleigh through the day.  I can do that while sitting in the recliner.  She is such a good little girl and not hard at all to keep up with.

I didn't get pics of them but I made 2 I guess you would call them small receiving blankets for my nephew Tucker.  He is 2 months older than Everleigh.  He likes to carry his blankets around and he steps on them and falls so I made him some very small ones from flannel that I had with Ninja Turtles on them.  He seemed to like them really well.

I also quilted up this yard of dinosaur fabric and got the binding done on it as well for him.
I'm going to have a busy week.  Everleigh and I will go pick up the bathroom tile in the morning.  I have to meet with another lady later in the week about piecing a quilt for her.  She has it cut out and she said it was just squares.  Also some other quilty stuff like another rag quilt and if I get time some crafty stuff for the next craft show.  Not enough hours in the day!  LOL!  I'm sure we all know how that is.

Fabric Haul and tile

Here is the small fabric haul that I did Friday.  These were all purchased at Hobby Lobby.  I have no idea why this pic is upside down but it will not flip.  :(

Here are the fabrics already cut for a lapsize rag quilt.  The backing is the grey flannel.  I had a customer request it and also a Denver Bronco themed one.  I have that fabric ordered.   I've actually already started sewing on this one.  You can see in the pic that I also cut a stack of batting for it.
The top fabric with the swirls is for a project of mine.  I started piecing the mushroom quilt from Lori Holt's new book and I ran out of background fabric.  I'll post pics of it once I drag it back out.  I just picked it up while I was down there but no clue when I will actually get to work on it again.

The red/white polkadot it just a half yard that I picked up for my stash.  It was 50% off since it was in the Christmas fabric section.

Everleigh fell in love with this Santa panel.  They had it quilted and hanging up.  She noticed it and kept saying "Santa" and "pretty pretty"  :)  I actually bought 2 of them and plan to quilt them both.  I'll keep one for Everleigh and give the other to my sister for my niece and nephew to enjoy.  They were actually only $4.50 each.
I picked up a yard each of these 2 fabrics.  My nephew, Tucker loves dinosaurs and the solid is a flannel.  He is only a couple months older than Everleigh.  So my plan is just to quilt this up quickly for him as he loves dragging around a blankie.
I worked on the rag quilt a little this evening.  I wanted to get more of it done but Richard and I took a little motorcycle ride.  It was a nice day for it.  We actually stopped by a place and looked at tile for the shower walls.  Ended up finding a really good deal on some that I liked so we paid for it because they didn't have a lot of it.  I will go back Monday morning and pick it up.  Didn't expect to find tile while on a motorcycle ride.  LOL!

Not sure when Richard will actually get around to doing it but soon I hope.

After Church I hope to get back to sewing on the Dallas Cowboy rag quilt.  I want to have it finished before the other fabric comes in.  I also need to do some embroidery work before my next craft show.  Also a couple of tshirt quilts that I need to do for a lady.

Hexagon Baby Quilt

Here is a custom baby quilt that I made last month.  The lady sent me a pic from Pinterest of a quilt that she liked.  I actually already had the acrylic template for it.

It went together pretty fast.  I cut 2.5" strips and cut the half hexie template out of those.
She also requested that I embroider the baby's name on it.
I just did a simple meander quilting on it.  She seemed very pleased with it.

Today mom, Everleigh and I headed to do some fabric shopping.  I had to pick up a few pieces for another customer quilt.  I'll post details on that in the next post.  We also looked for some bathroom tile but didn't find what I wanted.  :(  Anyway while we were out we stopped for lunch at Outback Steakhouse.  Look at this face on Everleigh!  LOL!  I guess her strawberries were sour.  She is such a great eater.

She cracks me up! :)

I also got a new laptop today so that should make posting regularly easier.  I found it hard to post from my cell phone.

I'll also post some pics of my fabric all in the next post.

Craft shows, quilt shows and more

My craft show went very well! Actually better than I thought! Here are a few pics of my set up.

My niece also set up with me. This is what she had

The festival also had a small quilt show.

Here is my bow tie that I entered.

I quilted this baby quilt for a lady the other day. It was her first quilt that she had made and she did a wonderful job. I posted this pic on Facebook and one of Richard‘s coworkers messaged him to see if I could make a queen size version for him. I think he wants it to give as a gift. So I am slowly making pinwheels between other projects lol

I also finished up this Halloween wall hanging for myself. It was a free so long from the fat quarter shop

That’s all for now  I’ll be back in a few days with more…
