Needless to say I haven't gotten much done today. I did go ahead and do my weekly running while I was in town this morning. Got most of that done while I was waiting to pick up Hunter's medicine. I also ran up to the Shady Shack to pick up my border fabric for my Bargello and they didn't have anymore of it. That was my fault, I should have went and got it when I started the quilt, but I ran on up to Walmart got some other fabric that I will use. It won't look bad, but the other would have looked alot better. I will probably try to get the borders on it sometime tomorrow.
I was going to make a set of coasters for my mom, but I decided to go ahead and make a set for my sister first. I wanted to do brown and pink, but all I had was the brown and blue. So here is a photo of them. And she loved them or at least she said she did. :o) She likes these colors.
So either tonight or tomorrow I will make moms coasters. It all depends on how Hunters feels. Andrew is gone for the weekend. I miss him so much when he leaves.
My Grandmother came home from the hospital today. She is very weak and was running a temp. but hopefully she will be okay. Now her brother, my great uncle is in the hospital. He got sick yesterday morning, was running a temp and was disoriented. They took him to the local hospital here, which is not a good hospital. They checked him out told him he was CONSTIPATED and sent him home. Well I guess he got worse last night so they took him over to the VA hospital. They admitted him because he was not constipated, but had pneumonia. Crazy!!!

Poor Hunter...I have not had breathing treatments but with allergies I am sure one day I will have to...I hope he feels better soon!
Ohh Kristie I dislike when I dont' go and get the fabric I want and then they are out. I know this has happened to me before but I am sure this other fabric will look just as good...I love your bargello!
The coasters look great...what colors are you going to use for your mom's coasters?
I hope your grandmother's health continues to improve and that your great uncle gets the help he needs...how crazy that they would say he was constipated when he had pneumonia...well I hope he gets better soon as well.
Take care of yourself! The boys need you healthy to take care of them.

Oh poor Hunter, I feel so bad for him. I've had breathing treatments in the past and the go news is they will really help him out. Make sure he takes all his meds and soon he'll be back on his feet and fit as a fiddle.
I'm sure whatever fabric you picked for the borders will be just fine. I can't wait to see the quilt finished because it's going to be fabulous.
I hope Grandma continues to get stronger every day and your uncle thank goodness he's now where they know what is wrong with him. He too will improve. Now you take care of yourself since all of your family needs you healthy.
Love the coasters too I'm crazy about dots.
Kristie,
You have had quite the week, haven't you? It's a good thing you have your sewing and quilting for relaxation!
I'm glad Hunter is on the mend...he is a cutie! I love your coasters, and I'm sure your sister did too. Your mom will love hers as well. Aren't they quick and easy to make? Just think, your mom can take a couple with her when she works, and when she uses it, is reminded of how much you love her.
Glad Gma is getting better and hope your great uncle is on the mend soon too. You deserve some special treatment after your hectic, crazy, nervewracking week!
I'm glad you found some fabric so you can finish your quilt top. I'm sorry it wasn't what you wanted, but what you got, I'm sure will be just fine!
Blessings!
Michelle
Wow! Alot of sickness! Hope all are well soon and you don't catch anything:0) Your local hospital sounds like ours. Our good one is 45 miles away! I like your coasters. I have made them in a potholder size. I'm sure your bargello will be fabulous as all your work is:0)
Hey, is that fabric something we can look for for you around here? Poor Hunter, how is he feeling today?
