Yes, I'm Insane!!!

Go ahead and say it...I am INSANE!!!! I decided last night that I would do the "Nearly Insane" quilt! I will do this one in blues! This quilt has 98 blocks and they are 6 inches, just like my Civil War quilts! I have some blues in my stash so I have just started using them.

I finished my 101 block on the Civil War Love Letter quilt last night and have the first four rows sewn together! No photo because everyone is too busy to hold it for me so that I can get a photo! Now only 20 more to go! This block had 89 pieces in it!

This morning I woke up at 3:45am because the cat jumped on my head while I was asleep and it scared the crap out of me! I couldn't go back to sleep, so I got up, cleaned house, did some laundry and then started sewing!!! I have actually started two new quilts! The Nearly Insane and the Diagonal Nine Patch pattern from the Winter issue of Fons & Porter's Easy Quilts! This one is a very easy quilt, and I think I needed something simple to work on since I am working on the Dear Jane, Love Letters, Diary quilt, Nearly Insane and my Hexagon quilt!! It basically has scrapy 9 patches set on the diagonal. I am using my precut scraps that I have. I think I got somewhere around 7 blocks done on it this morning!

I figure my energy will dwindle out real soon, since I have been up so long! Not sure how much more I will get done today but I may have to take a "Power Nap" and then get back to sewing! Richard is working on putting some plywood down on the house roof, Hunter is watching cartoons and Andrew is getting ready to leave for a wedding, a cousin on his dad's side of the family. The boys are off from school this week for Fall Break!

I love your blue blocks! You sound like me when I get up early. Gotta accomplish 'something', right or wrong. Take a nap if you need one.
Blessings,
Michelle

I'm also making the Nearly Insane quilt in pink, light blue and brown. One of these days I will finish it and my DJ. I also have the Civil War Diary book but haven't started those blocks yet. I'm thinking about doing those in brights and black.

Unbelievable - 89 pieces in a 6 inch bock...I just don't see how you do it...you are such a talented lady. All of these will be so pretty when completed.

Another one to watch develop. Where you get your patience, I will never know but it sure is fun to watch your progress.

I really like the blue and white combo, very striking.

You ARE the quilting champion..honestly!! Im so envious actually as I always have to have something on the go and right now it is my nemesis of a christmas tree skirt that is mostly unfollowable instructions and applique..Im over this type of thing but having it stashed in the cupboard since last Christmas I feel obliged to complete it for the season.. (really just want to be piecing though) my horrible OCD is rearing its ugly head again so I feel that I can treat myself to a decent amount of fabric s and make another quilt, but my frugal pocket says NO!
Look forward to seeing your progree

I totally don't understand this fall break thing - my kids don't get that - not that I want them home another week so soon after summer, but still....
And yes, you maybe insane but your blocks are beautiful. That is another one that I want to do someday!

I love your blocks! I've corrected your blog address so the link should take people to the right place now.

Maybe I'll shock you one day and post on a Saturday. :)

ROFLMAO, Kristie you're the only person I know doing 4 of these major quilts at once, muchless ONE in a lifetime!! Are you sure you don't want to throw that elm creek quilts wedding quilt in there too?
