This is what I have been doing for the past few days!!! I made 9 more blocks for my Dear Jane!!! This brings me to a total of 24 of them! I am starting out with the easier ones first.
Also, I finished two more Christmas gifts! Several months ago, I bought a bunch of fleece throws on clearance so I have been embroidering on them for gifts. I finished several a few months ago. I have more to do but I will get to them soon.
I also recieved this wonderful little zipper bag from Moneik!!! Thank you Moneik! I love it and it will be so handy taking this to quilt guild.
Chantal, my little sister, got her hair cut off today!! She donated 13 inches to Locks Of Love! I thought that was great, that makes about 31 inches that we have donated between the both of us. Here she is when she came out to show me! I think it looks great!!!
Last night we went and picked up a load of hay! I am still tired and my hands are killing me. They are sore and raw, but it is worth it for my horses to have hay for the Winter! We ended up putting up 107 bales last night.
So anyway, that has been life for the past few days. I hope to finish another block or two before bedtime...

Wahoo on the DJ blocks! They look great.
What a great idea for Christmas gifts. I haven't even THOUGHT about gifts.... You'll be finished with gifts before November.
*PAT ON BACK* for you and your sister!!
Great looking hay. Hope it wasn't too far for you to get it. We still have quite a bit to still put up.
Hi Kristie,
Can't wait to see your Dear Jane quilt finished.
31" that is great and you know it is such a good cause.
I bet your hands are sore. When Mom would get the hay for her cows and horses I would help some, you talk about work.

Yeah for you, getting more blocks done and getting your Christmas gifts started. I had planned to do a homemade Christmas this year but need to re-evaluate that now.
Chantel's hair looks great! It's wonderful that you both donated your beautiful hair to Locks for Love!
You have been busy...Christmas will be knocking on our doors sooner that we realize and you will be ready with many of your gifts...now aren't you the smart one!
Chantals hair cut looks fantastic...both of you girls look so much like your pretty mom!
Hang in there, girl...

You are speeding after that speed bump. Blocks are so pretty! Chantel's hair looks really good! You getting a good start on Christmas. I haven't embroideried in a while but cousin sent me a good design I am going to sew out. Getting hay is a hot job and itchy also. Good to get it in the barn early. Hope to see you at Guild on Monday.
I remember putting hay up when I was a kid and I still cringe at the itch.
You are very busy with your blocks, and this time Dear Jane! I'm impressed. I join the DBJ club by Anina, and make two blocks a week. Since summer vacation I have been a little behind, but this weekend I've made some new ones. I love the fabric you've chosen for these blocks!
You've been busy. Love the blocks, love your sisters new look and those horses will be all set for winter!
The DJ blocks are really coming along.
We quit putting up small square bales of hay a long time ago...when HE learned that I got tired of puting them up!
I left you an award on my blog. Go check it out!
I had trouble getting into your blog (my comp screen froze up 3 times trying), but Hazel emailed my your link, and now I got in! 8-)
Lovely Dear Jane blocks!
Adorable puppies, and fawn!
Some absolutely lovely quilts!
Burnt fingers (ouch! I know how that feels) and much, much more! 8-)
Happy stitchings! I shall be back!
My oh my Kristie, DJ, CWD and CWL you are not afraid of big works thats for true. Love them all
My god girl when do you sleep ,your blocks are absolutely beautiful.
Your DJ blocks are just perfect...
More Dear Jane! They look great! And good for you sister for donating her hair! That's awesome. The hay looks great. It is so expensive up here, but we also have all ours for the winter so we shouldn't have to buy anymore!
I applaud both you and your sister for donating your hair for cancer victims. What a generous thing to do. Regards, Peg
