What I'm up to...

I finally got the first coat of stain on the stairs, but it is raining out so I will try to get a photo tomorrow. I have discovered that there is no comfortable position to sit on the stairs to put the stain on, my back is killing me! But it will all be worth it in the end. I jumped in and did all of the first coat of stain myself because Richard has been busy this week and I want them finished so I can get upstairs! LOL! Anyway Richard has had his finals this week and has done a great job on them all so he is now out for the summer and starts back in August! I'm still sooooo proud of him! When he wasn't taking his finals he was running fence. As you can see I have to patch his work jeans, that barbed wire is rough on them! I have patched 2 pair this week! I told him that as long as he was working with that barbed wire he had to wear those same two pair of jeans so he didn't rip anymore of them....I wash them of course! :)I have also been working on my quilt. Still sewing my squares together. I started with 80-6 in 9-patches but that was not near enough.

Things don't look like they will be slowing down for me for a couple of weeks yet. I will be working on my stairs until I get them finished. School is almost out for the summer and so many things going on there...field trips, awards days, parties, and Andrew graduates on the 13th! :( Makes me sad that he is old enough to graduate high school but also proud that he made it through this part of his life. He is already enrolled in college for the coming Fall so that is out of the way too.

Now a few photos around the farm! All of this rain has really turned everything GREEN! I love it! You can't really see her but there is a horse in this photo! LOL! She is over next to the upper fence line. Dirty little Jazz! He had been outside playing most of the day! I'm so glad that he is back home.
And the girls....
Look at those teats! It's time to milk!!!! Good fresh goat's milk...can't beat it! Hopefully I'll be back in a day or two with photos of my finished quilt top and a photo of my stairs!

I have to smile at your post about the jeans. I have a grandson (sophmore in college) that pays good money for jeans that are ripped and have holes in them.

Do you only use the goat milk, never buy other milk?
