A Good Productive Day!

I must say that today has been a very productive day for me. Early this morning, I pressed the binding for that big Pink Bargello quilt and sewed it on, now I just have to do the handwork sewing it to the back and it will be finished and ready to give to Chantal for Christmas.

Then I added the borders to the "construction panel" that is for my nephew, Zeph. I just needed to make it more of a lap size and not just a small crib size. So I added a yellow and a red border, then I went ahead and cut and pressed the red binding for it too.
After that I took a little break and did my dishes as I waited for Richard to get home. He was a little late so I decided to pin this on the frame myself!!! It wasn't too bad because it only measures 55x68. The only problem that I have pinning them on the frame right now is the back roller, it is against the wall and it hurts my leg to try to stretch that far so Richard usually helps me do that.
I pinned it on and started quilting it. I only meant to start quilting it and maybe finish it tomorrow but everything was going so good that I ended up getting the whole thing quilted. I used the pantograph called "Happy Times" I really like it, it is big and loose so it goes fast. I like it alot better than stippling, I'm starting to really get tired of that. I also have a smaller version of this same quilting design.
In the above photo you can see the quilting is finished. Then just a few minutes ago, I sewed the binding on the front and put it with the pink bargello quilt and will do the handwork sewing the binding to the back over the next few days.
So I do believe I am finished sewing tonight, I need to clean up my mess and clean my machine before I do anything else. I still have a few more to do before Christmas so I don't have any time to waste. I just hope that my legs hold up and I can get them all quilted. This one today didn't bother me quilting it, because it wasn't that big.

Congrats on the finish. It feels good to get things done by ourselves. I have one in the frame now that I need to be working on but keep getting side tracked. Love your quilting work. cw

Wow, you get more done with an injury than I do without one. You are inspiration to me. As to the problem, two quotes come to mind. "Don't try to reason with the unreasonable" and "He who angers you, controls you". I have had to recite these to myself many many times when dealing with "problems" like yours. Mine are crazy 1/2 sisters.

Great job getting both quilts done! You seem to be back to your 'regular' self with all the things you get done. Love seeing everything you are working on.

If you can do a quilt that size in one day, you are definitely getting stronger in your legs! I'm so happy to hear that you were able to do all of that! You are really working to get everything done by Christmas. I am sure that you can do it!!! :)
