Today was a good day!!!!! I sold 5 more quilts today!!! I really hate to see them go but I really need the extra money right now with Christmas just being a few weeks away. Here are photos of 3 of them, can't find photos of the other 2, but I have them saved somewhere here on the computer.
Here they are... I don't remember the exact name of this quilt but this was the second one that I made using this pattern.
This is the second one. This is called "Many Trips around the world" or something like that. This one was made a few years ago too. And this one is my favorite of the three. "Hole In the Barndoor" I really like this one because all of the quilting that I did on it.Here is a close up of the quilting...I'll try to dig up photos of the other two that I sold too.
I finally got fed up trying to quilt that quilt that I had on the frame. I guess it was just too much with the high loft batting and the fleece backing, so I just took it off of the frame and I will deal with it later. I quickly pinned on this panel that I just simply added a border to it to make it a little bigger. I did a very loose quilting design on it so I had it quilted in no time. Now I just need to hand sew the binding down and it will be ready for Christmas. This will be a gift for my great nephew, Braxton. Just in case you haven't seen it yet, here is a new BOM that is starting up in January 2011. It is called Fiesta and it is free from FatCatPatterns. She has it shown in several different colorways. So if anyone loves applique this would be perfect!!! I do like it but I'm not sure yet if I am up to that much applique. But definitely check out her website if you haven't already. She has so many wonderful free applique patterns. This week Richard has his finals. So he has really been studying hard for these tests, so far he has done great on them. He is gone right now, he had an evening class, he is taking his Human Anatomy and Physiology final exam tonight. I think he will do fine, he knew most of it when he left here.
Hunter and I got the Christmas tree up. We put the tree together and added a few extra lights and then we let Hunter decorate it!!! Hunterstyle!! I think he did a wonderful job, but of course there are a few that I will need to sneak and move around. :) Giggle....he didn't put any ornaments on the back of the tree! :) Anyway since I have my frame sitting in my living room right now, I didn't have much space to set the tree up this year so I had to put it by the door and in front of the picture on the wall. You can also see Richard's big rattlesnake hide that he killed several years ago. I know that looks a little odd with a Christmas tree sitting in front of it but that was the best that we could do this year.Oh before I forget.....Hunter has been playing this the past few days. Here is a link where you can MAKE AN ONLINE GINGERBREAD HOUSE! Lots of fun!!!! I'll have to admit, I've played it a few times too. Enjoy!
Oh and also.....Andrew's Great Dane is having pups as we speak!!! Photos to come later!
