As I mentioned earlier we went car shopping tonight!!! I'm sad to say that I can home with nothing!!!! I got so overwhelmed!!! After I got down there, I just couldn't decide, I got overwhelmed and nervous so I decided to come home and think on it for a while before I made such a big decision. Richard is such a wonderful hubby but he really wasn't any help once we got there. All he kept saying was "It's your car, pick out what you want" We test drove a millon of them and I just couldn't decide if I wanted an SUV, like the Trailblazer, Buick Rendevous, Saturn Vue, or a car like the Malibu, Impala, G6, Buick Lacrosse. I just don't know...my mind is spinning in circles. Oh well, I'll just think it over for a few days.
Before we left today, I did a little bit of sewing. I made two more Love Letters blocks! I really love these blocks. I know I say that in every post, but I really, really, really do love these blocks!
Mom left for work this morning, so I won't see her again for 28 days! She really hated to go this time, said she just didn't feel like she had much time at home this time in. It is very hard on her and us all with her working 28 days on and 28 days off, but the money is great! For those of you that don't know, my mom works as a cook on a boat. It's the large boats that pushes the barges up and down the riverways. I miss her alot when she is gone.
Tomorrow is hubby's 38th birthday!!! No big plans for tomorrow, just a small family cookout in the evening. We went out to dinner tonight at Ruby Tuesday's, I was so hungry......now I feel like I could bust!!!!!
Well, it's late so I think I will go to bed..........hubby is asleep in the recliner and Hunter and Andrew are asleep on the couch.........we are real party animals on a Friday night!!!!!

Lovely blocks! You will make the right decision about your new vehicle. For me, I just keep watching gas go up... thinking maybe a moped would be best, lol!
I'm with you... I've never picked out a new car and can sympathize with the stress over making the decision.
I wish you luck!!!
It's the colors! Those love letter block colors are GORGEOUS!! (I'm sure I've said that too *LOL*)
Sympathy on the new car. I'd be the same. Make a list. What do you need your car to do and have (a.c, central locking, electric windows, large trunk, type of steering wheel, whatever, whatever...) and then try and narrow down your choices... Don't know if that helps..
You naughty, naughty girl, Kristie!
You have made me start too soon on CWLL blocks - see today's posting. Like you, I think I am really going to enjoy this.
Hugs - Lurline.
Happy birthday to your DH. It wouldn´t be a problem for me to choose a car :) I love to get a new/old car.
I know just what you mean about buying a new car. Twice now I'v changed my mind after picking it up - I'm horrible!
And your Friday nights sound like ours...
Kris
Oh, you should get a G6! A G6 GT! You will love all the extras if you get the total package - leather heated seats, remote start, XM radio for 3 months, and On Star for when you lock yourself out of the car. It's great!!!
Go with color on the car...all the bells and whistles are great...but they cost so much more. Of course, gas mileage should be the deciding factor. But then again a car has never been an important thing to me...just a reliable vehicle to get from Point A to Point B. I don't look at them as a status symbol....oh well, just me in a nutshell.
The pinks and browns are still dancing perfect in those blocks.
Have a fun weekend celebrating DH's birthday.
Take care....
Amelia
Your CWLL blocks are looking great...I am so trying hard not to start on mine just yet, i have to get some other stuff finished first...
Hugs julia
I love my SUV. I love being able to see out of it like I can't in a car because I so short. I do love those colors of those blocks, they look wonderful, and Friday night - well, ours is like that too!!
Kristie, just to give you a heads-up on the Malibu. I get over 36 mpg, on my 6 cylinder 2004 Malibu. And if that peaks your interest enough to investigate buying one, ask the head of the service department if they have improved/fixed the steering rack problem. (Do NOT ask the salesman. They know NOTHING about the product they sell) I love this car. BIG trunk, plenty of leg room in back, etc. I have gotten 3 quilters, with suitcases and 3 machines and 3 bunches of quilting projects in my car, with room to spare. I even stopped and showed the salesman, so he could use it as a selling point. He loved it!!!!! LOL
OR, you could "go green," and like Al Gore, you could shoot for a Cadillac Escalade ... (I hope you wouldn't be interested.)
Good luck. It really IS mind boggling.

You done a great job with your CWD block Kristie. I love your fabrics
I love your blocks. I have so many projects I don't think I'll ever get to the Civil War ones. I took your advice from some time back and started a blog.
I'm just not sure it is easily accessed so if you get a chance give me a look see. It is nanalindaandqueendiva.blogspot.com.
At least I think that's what it is. If you can't access it drop me a line. I would much appreciate it.

Yeah, that's definitely too many choices! I would have been overwhelmed too.
