I finished quilting this lovely customer quilt yesterday. It's so bright and cheery.
She hand pieced this during her downtime at work.
I believe she made this for her daughter. It's made from lots of bandana fabric. They really show up against the black sashing.
This quilt measures something like 74x85. Today I will work on the binding and then HOPEFULLY piece another backing.
This quilt is backed with black fleece and quilted with the Petal Flower panto. The quilting really shows up on the fleece. Oh and I also used cotton batting.
Up next is a beautiful Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt made by my SIL, Kellie.
Looking ahead in my planner I am booked right now until mid August. That is also taking a week off in July for vacation. I know that things never work out the way I plan but I have some quilting scheduled for everyday in June except for the last 2 days. I also have a ton of cleaning to do because my MIL is house sitting for us while we are gone. So I desperately need to do some deep cleaning. Oh how I need a cleaning lady!!!! When I worked outside of the home years ago, I had a cleaning lady that came once a week and did my major cleaning and I soooooo miss her.
I'm typing this post the night before and I am probably heading to bed in a few. I am so tired. I still don't have all of my energy back from dealing with the BP issues. This is the first customer quilt that I have quilting in 2 weeks and I am just tired. I have to get up at 4:15am and get Richard off to work. He was off today (Thursday) and he spent the day on the tractor cutting the hay field and then put the blade on the tractor and cut a ditch in mom's backyard to help with some drainage issues she is having.
So right now I'm thinking that after I get Richard up and out of here, I will nap until about 7:30am then get Andrew and Hunter up for work. Andrew works everyday and Hunter has to work for a family friend tomorrow doing some weedeating and clearing some brush around their pond. Hopefully after I get everyone up and out of here, I can get some quilting work done.

I'm sure your customer will be very pleased, Kristie. The quilt looks really good!
Your customer made a very pretty quilt indeed, and your quilting is perfect for it. I love the bright colors, and the black sashine really makes the quilt pop! ---"Love"
