Another Block Down...

Today has just been another normal day, fixing breakfast, doing the feeding of the animals, a little house cleaning, playing with the boys, and some sewing. This morning I made another Welder Cap for Andrew. But he left for his Uncle's house before I could get a photo of it. It was made out of red bandana looking fabric. The red looks good with his dark hair.

Went outside earlier to check on Ole Jim, he was fine, but he was in the pumpkin patch eating away. Yes, he ate almost all of the pumpkin vines. Now we only have 2 vines left, but that is okay we were just growing them for the boys anyway.

Here is a photo of Zoey, my sister's poodle. I am dog sitting while she and mom are at Virginia Beach. I may not give her back to them...she is so sweet and lovable. She and Donkey are having a great time playing. Last night when Chantal called, Zoey heard her voice on the phone and started going crazy! It was really funny, I had never saw a dog do that over the phone.

I just finished another Civil War Diary block. This one is called "Battle Of Springfield" Row 1, block 7. Not a hard block to do at all. It takes longer to cut the fabric out most of the time than it does to sew them together. So this block makes me 46! 46 down and 75 more to go!!! I can't wait until I can say that I am half way!!!!!
I have some laundry to do and then I think I may try to sew another block...if I don't take a nap! I had not had to take a nap for several days and I was hoping that my thyroid medication was regulated but now I am feeling sooooooooo sleepy...

I admire you for doing the Civil War Quilt. I bought the book when I saw everyone doing it on their blogs, but that is as far as I got. Maybe next round.

Thanks for the comment on my blog.

You just gotta love Ole Jim. Your blocks are coming together really quickly. I'm so far behind on my BOM's but I'm determined to get myself caught up.

Holly goes crazy when my cell phone rings and it's my mom. My mom and mike each have a specific ring tone and she DOES associate the songs with them. When she hears my mom's she runs to the door because she thinks it means we're going to grandmas!! MIke has a special ring tone for me too and Holly just freaks out with excitement when she hears my ring. It's soooo cute!!

Isn't that just the way? It always takes longer to cut the fabrics than it does to sew the block together! Nice blocks!!!
