Another Day Of Sewing!

Well, my car is fixed! It was a little broken wire in the ignition!!!! So Mom and I went to pick it up early this morning, actually at 7am! Glad to have it fixed and home, but we are still going to trade it in this weekend.

Lots of sewing going on here! First off today, I sewed more of my green strips for my green trip around the world. I have all of my strips sewn together, now I just have to iron, cut and resew into blocks like these. I'm not sure how many blocks that I have here but there are several.

I also cut some circles for yo-yo's. I cut them a little at a time and put them back for Hunter's quilt. That will be my 3rd yo-yo quilt! I have never used a yo-yo maker so I just do them the old fashioned way. I love making them, I figure I will end up with around 2000 in this one too, since that is what Andrew's quilt has in it. Can't make a difference between the boys!

I recieved my Civil War fabrics that I ordered from Quiltbook.com I love them!!! Actually even with shipping I got them cheaper than if I had to spend money on gas to shopping for them. I will certainly order from there again!!! Here are the fabrics that I got. They look so much prettier in person.

Of course, with these new fabrics, I just had to sneak and make a block for my Civil War Love Letters!!! This is the first block for this quilt. I plan on making it using browns and pinks!!! This was one of the simpler blocks and it is called "Unnamed"

I will finish my CWD quilt too, but I just couldn't resist a few blocks of this one too. I love these quilts. I can't wait to finish them both!!!
Well, I'm off to do more sewing!!!

Don't you just love CW fabrics? I know someone that insists that they're just ugly browns but she is so wrong. Your TATW is looking great!
